Initial Consultation

Your visit begins with a detailed review of your medical history and symptoms. We’ll talk through what you’re experiencing—whether it’s sneezing, itchy eyes, nasal congestion, or breathing issues—and determine if skin prick testing is appropriate for you.

Preparation and Skin Cleaning

We’ll clean a small area on your forearm or upper back and clearly mark where each allergen will be applied. No needles are used—just a gentle prick on the surface of the skin.

Allergen Application

Tiny drops of various common environmental allergens—such as pollen, mold, pet dander, and dust mites—are placed on your skin. A sterile applicator is used to lightly prick or scratch the skin through each drop.

Wait and Observe

We wait 15–20 minutes while your skin reacts to the allergens. If you’re allergic to a substance, a small red bump (similar to a mosquito bite) will appear where that allergen was placed.

Results and Discussion

Our provider will review the test results with you immediately and explain which allergens triggered a reaction. We’ll then discuss a personalized treatment plan, which may include lifestyle changes, medications, or allergy immunotherapy (such as allergy shots or sublingual drops).
